It would help if IETF would start redirecting old plain text RFC documents to the copies on that have hyperlinks that do link to errata. Ensuring page rank for http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5996 or http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/rfc5996/ would be higher then the page rank for http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc5996.txt would be helpful for people using search engines to find RFCs to land at pages that _do_ have the errata information.
