I called ALL of the vets in the area surrounding where I found him. I also
called animal control for that area. I even posted on the breed boards on the
Internet. Checked the paper every day, but I did not place a found ad. I
figured if he was well loved his parents would place an ad (they didn't). I
can't say I thought much of his parents. Real scum-suckers, but they had
proof of ownership (pictures, registration, etc) When I tried to talk to them
about keeping a collar and tags on him, things got really ugly, so I just
backed off and left. I really felt bad for the Scottie, but was helpless. The
sheriff was there (the owners accused me of stealing the dog!) He just shook
his head. Not the greatest rescue, but at least I did the best that I could
for him.
