The quality of the pages are actually excellent, the nice heavy thick paper,
and in the back, there's even a note about the typeface.  Alot of publishers
will cut the pages uneven like that in hardcovers (I have quite an extensive
book collection, and most of the higher quality hardcovers have pages like
this)...Don't know if it's just for decoration or for easier page turning,
but rest assured that this is an excellent quality book!  Not just on the
outside either...what a wonderful book, I can't put it down, and I'm buying
copies for everyone I know! LOL
