Still can't talk about all the details yet, but we had a male and 2 yr old bitch get into a fight last month. ~never~ in my life in Danes have I ever seen a bitch and dog get into it!! They were bosum buddies, it appears that it was over an empty plastic grocery bag that must have still had a smell to it from something. I 'never' leave my dogs loose in the house when I am not there. I let them in from the pen because they had gotten cold, and stopped for a nano second to look at a plant on the deck. It happened so fast, I was alone and it took forever to get them apart, there was so much blood, when I mangaged to get one out the door, I called my husband to come home, it appears all the blood was mine!! I vaguely remember trying to shove the bitch against the wall several times to get one of the apart,
