Hi De!
We have ScatMats and they're great!!! I, of course, tested them when we
first got them and it doesn't hurt, but I wouldn't want to sit on it
either.
We put them on our leather couches and each dog got zapped once or
twice, then decided that they'd find somewhere else to lie down. We
left them on for about a month, then took them off. The dogs don't even
try to get on those couches. They're not afraid of the couches or
anything... if we're sitting on them, they'll come for pets and
snuggles, but they don't try to climb into our laps (only when we're
sitting on those couches - if we're on the other couches, they're total
lap dogs <G>).
I've been very happy with our ScatMats and would use them again in a
second!!
