I just wanted to send an update on the stray that we rescued from the
Delaware river after she was hit by a car. We have placed an ad in the
paper, called the SPCA and left our name, number and description of the dog,
placed flyers around where we found her and called local vets. So far we
have had no luck in locating her owners.
As it turns out, my brother's girlfriend is not able to keep her. Her
landlord won't allow dogs. :-( So, we had to scramble to find her a home
again. I send an e-mail out to all my online friends and I had 3 people
respond saying that they either knew someone who may be interested or that
they were interested themselves. One of my friends are in Boston and were
willing to drive down here to pick her up. But, as luck would have it, I
was telling my friends that live across the street about her and they want
her!! YEAH!!! Not only will she be going to a good home, so won't have to
endure a 8 hour car ride, I will be able to visit her and give advice when
asked. I would have taken the dog myself but with Zena being the 11 month
old puppy that she is, I didn't think an older dog in a cast and Zena would
be a good mix.
Anyway, I am taking my friends up tonight to meet the dog and hopefully she
will be home this weekend.
What a Merry Christmas for me, Kevin, my brother, my friends and most of
all, the stray dog.
