the DaneBytes Chat Room...everyone remember how to get there?
Go to http://www.danebytes.com
Choose db CHATROOM from the menu.
In the space that says "Your Name", type your name, or the handle you like
to go by.
In the space that says "Your Profile", you can put anything you like...but a
neat thing to do is to put a link to your email address and/or your web
address.
TO MAKE A LINK, FOLLOW THESE EXAMPLES:
For a link to your email address, add "mailto:" with no spaces, to the front
of your email address.
Here is my address as an example: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
For a link to your web address, add "http://" to the front of your web
address.
Here is my address as an example: http://enterprise.is.tcu.edu/~channah
After entering in your info, just click the chat button, that sometimes says
"Volano".
Then a little chat window will open, and you can start chatting!
ONE MORE THING....VERY IMPORTANT!!!!
You will not be able to see your own name when you speak in the chatroom.
This is something that everyone wonders about..."Can you all see my name? I
can't see it, but I can see everyone else's!" It's OK...everyone can see
your name, except you! :-)
