The problem with this patch is that while it does improve the print
version, it makes the html version very hard to read (the tabs are
missing).  I suspect it's that latex2html doesn't properly support the
tabbing environment.  Either that or there's a bad interaction with our
stylesheet.  :(

I'm attaching an alternative patch.  I don't really like how it looks, but
it fits on the page, and looks reasonable in the html version.  Let me know
what you think of it (or if you've got a better idea).
