Here's a test script for the bug in whatsnew -s (RT#505). I think a proper
fix will involve pretty much a complete rewrite of the gen_summary code,
which was written quite early in darcs' history, and is pretty poor haskell
code. I think a proper modification would involve writing a little monad
and data type (perhaps Data.Map) for keeping track of changes to various
files. With just a bit of care, one could make this pretty elegant and
extensible.

[fix bug triggered by --no-pristine-tree and running test.
David Roundy <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>**20050903132055
The trouble was that the NoPristine version of createPristineDirectoryTree
would fail if the directory already exists, which isn't the intended
behavior. I also took this opportunity to remove the "stubbornly" function
and replace some stubborn directory creation with
createDirectoryIfMissing.

what you are doing.

Providing a README file in the place where people are most likely to look
provides a very useful clue.
However, it's still not clear to me exactly how the system works, so I have
left a stub to complete that documentation.
