The .tar.gz file created by 'darcs dist' removes any executable bits set
on files. This is a bit of a bummer if you want to include a configure
script etc. Using darcs 1.0.3.
Permissions aren't honoured more generally, eg all files are set 644 and
all directories 755 even if their original perms were more restrictive
(eg 640/750). However I understand the rationale behind this, that for a
dist you probably do want world-readable. But it should presumably set
files to 755 if they were executable to begin with!
