Then how did I get it? I pull from "http://abridgegame.org/repos/darcs";, which is described on http://darcs.net as the stable branch. That repo's motd announces itself like this: ------- Welcome to the darcs darcs repository! This is the stable release branch. ********************** ------- When I build the result, it identifies its version as "1.0.8 (stable branch)".
