And what is true is that if we ever decided to rename a switch, we
would have to do a global search and replace _anyway_ to update the
documentation.  So I guess now I disagree with myself too, because
I also want to keep the code simple and readable.

Anybody want to disagree with me disagreeing with myself, and watch
me flip-flop?

I once tried to clean up the way we represent darcs paths, having a
_darcs variable instead of "_darcs", but it ended up making the code
more messy that it was worth.  Maybe it's the same story here.
