Right, but that's basically inescapable if you're going to be able to
match things generally.

As background, I found the issue in a real case with Emacs support.
It was selecting a patch automatically from the logged name and barfed
on one which included double quotes.  I was expecting quoting them to
work.  [That was meant to be included with the original patch, but
wasn't due to issue 315...]
