I would love to see this. Right now darcs annotate can perform slowly. If darcs indexed pristine files back to the hunks within the patches that led to their current state, that would be fantastic. The effect of indexing would speed up command line darcs, plus the webapp frontends (darcs-server, darcsweb) too. I'm a Haskell newb, unfortunately.
