This is the most friendly Free Software project I've ever participated
in. With the exception of myself, the Darcs people are extremely kind
and open to suggestions.
My personal opinion is that our group is sometimes too friendly to
people with dumb ideas, but that's just rude and uncouth me.

Of course, there's a core of old-time developers that tend to be
trusted more than newcomers. I don't think there's anything wrong
with that.

You /will/ be annoyed, but mostly by the fact that sometimes people
will be too busy to give you feedback fast enough for your liking.
I promise that unless you have a particularly difficult kind of
personality yourself, you will not be annoyed by ill will on the part
of the maintainers.
