Out of curiosity, where can I stay up to date on the current state of
thinking re conflictors/mergers and the like?

I was going to suggest subscribing to the darcs-conflicts mailing
list, but it seems to have disappeared.

My work as a masters student under David is to improve conflict
handling.  I've started working on it in a private branch of
darcs-unstable as part of my Google Summer of Code project:
