Another interesting idea would be to add a variable GHC_REMINDERS, which would store a summary of configure flags in human-friendly form, which could serve as a reminder that we're using type witnesses, profiling, etc. Something like [ghc with profiling, no optimization, type witnesses] src/Context.o where we'd only mention non-default settings.
