Is it really that case that *nobody* has run into the problem I described below?

Since I wasn't able to provide a solution for the people at work in a timely manner, it looks like they'll be moving to Subversion. I still love darcs and use it for my personal projects, but I feel like we missed an opportunity.

After converting a CVS repository with 3000+ patches to darcs using cvs2darcs, I don't seem to be able to create a checkpoint. It complains of there not being tags to checkpoint, but there are plenty of tags converted from CVS.

% darcs optimize --checkpoint
There is no tag to checkpoint!
Done optimizing!

% darcs changes | grep tagged | head -n5

Anyone have an idea what I'm missing?

Thanks,
