I have a related question: what does the "patch-name" argument to "darcs tag" do? I had assumed that it made the tag depend on all patches up to that one, but experiment showed that the tag still depends on all patches, just as if I had not passed the "patch-name" argument at all. Here's a bug: the manual is mute on this question.
