I think this would be a good idea. And if no repo is available, it could warn that the patch may not be re-pullable, and ask for confirmation. It would be nice to have (if we haven't got it yet, I'm just back from vacation) a way to acknowledge that a certain patch exists, but isn't wanted in this particular repo.
