so if I understand you correctly, even with the current buggy darcs it is safe
to use non-ASCII characters in file/directory names because:
1. the exact byte sequence of a name is never changed, it's just that the
representation of names inside patches is strange
2. if the representation inside patches is changed in the future (which
will hopefully happen) then darcs will still handle patches with the
old, strange representation correctly
