I mean just make sure ChangeLogs are updated as separate patches, if
your project has a policy of using them and you can't get that changed
to using generated logs.
The copyright issue I haven't figured out yet. The problem that I've
run into is that my project has a number of FSF assigners, and if they
submit patches to the same file they'll often collide in on updating
the FSF copyright. Then if the wrong one gets backed out, you tend to
back out the copyright change too. Bleck.
CHANGES (the precursor to news in the devel branch of my project) is
my property, and I've taken to enforcing that because I'm using darcs
to manage my workspaces while the project is still on CVS.
These are pretty minor though. I've seen exponential hell up close a
couple of times (trying to use cvs2darcs), and I still don't know what
causes that in my usage. It's just too time-consuming to even figure
out which patches are conflicting. :-(
