sorry, my fault.
the solution is this: once you have added a file to the repo, it can't be that boring any more, and will always be treated as exciting instead. things like that happen if you do a 'darcs add *' and try to save time. now it cost me 30 minutes, and all of you 5-60 seconds (hopefully not much more). sorry again. cheers, matthias On Tue, Feb 21, 2006 at 05:55:31PM +0100, Matthias Fischmann wrote: > To: [email protected] > From: Matthias Fischmann <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: Tue, 21 Feb 2006 17:55:31 +0100 > Subject: boring files don't match > > > > hi all, > > i am having trouble specifying additional boring files. i added the > line > > .*paper\.ps > > to the file _darcs/prefs/boring > > and did nothing else, but the output of 'darcs whatsnew' still > contains the full length of this postscript file. which is boring to > me. > > what am i missing? oh, my version: > > $ darcs --version > 1.0.6pre1 (stable branch) > > (ps: i played with 'darcs setpref boringfile', but with no effect.) > > > > thanks, > matthias -- Institute of Information Systems, Humboldt-Universitaet zu Berlin web: http://www.wiwi.hu-berlin.de/~fis/ e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] tel: +49 30 2093-5742 fax: +49 30 2093-5741 office: Spandauer Strasse 1, R.324, 10178 Berlin, Germany
