I've been running Darcs on an iBook (OS X 10.3.9) and an x86 Debian Linux box for some time now. A few months ago, I started using it on a Mac Pro (Intel) running OS X 10.4, and I've run into a problem I can't seem to get through.

I access remote repositories using SSH. I run an ssh-agent process to hold onto my pass phrase, so I won't have to keep re-entering passwords during checkouts. When I try to run "darcs get" to pull down a repository from the remote machine, the process just hangs forever. Sometimes a process listing shows an scp going nowhere, sometimes it's an sftp process.

The odd thing is, if I use other devious means to bring the repository in (like "scp -r"), I can generally run "darcs pull" to update the local repository.

I'm running Darcs 1.0.9rc2 that I've built myself, but I've seen this problem with several recent builds.

Has anyone else seen similar problems? Can anyone recommend how to begin troubleshooting this?
