Which problem? The exponential time problem? That's obviously a problem for everybody; I didn't realize that I'd have to specify that as an exception to my generality. My point is that that is precisely the problem that is getting most of the skull sweat right now, and that the "problems generally experienced by a small fraction of users" are the ones that aren't getting attention at the moment. In other words, IMO Darcs development is moving forward, and it has its priorities in the right place. That's all I want to argue.
