Looking at line 347 in SlurpDirectory, I see that this depends on mmap. Could it be possible that we need a Workaround for mmap on your platform? Could you please try building again but this time add --disable-mmap to your configure and then tell us if you get the same results. Is this a machine which could be used as a buildbot slave? I think OpenSolaris is somewhat exotic and we don't yet have a slave running it so it could be quite valuable to darcs development and to keeping your machine supported.
