Folks: We have a few new bots on the buildbot waterfall since the last time I posted to darcs-users:
http://buildbot.darcs.net/waterfall Karel has contributed OpenBSD and OpenSolaris bots, and I added an Ubuntu Dapper bot. As you can see, we have many bugs that are visible on various platforms. Some of them are bugs in the build process, some in the testing process (e.g. shell tests that don't work as expected on Windows (using Cygwin bash)). Probably some of them are actually bugs in darcs, but I'm not sure. Thanks to everyone who has contributed a buildbot! I would be happy to have more buildbots! Please write to [EMAIL PROTECTED] to offer your computer's services. The only requirement is that your computer is usually on-line so that we don't often have those grey "offline" boxes. Also, please look at the output of these tests and submit patches that make the tests execute correctly and make darcs execute correctly. I am probably going to start programming buildbots to upload the resulting darcs executable (if it passed all tests) to a web site so that people can get piping hot fresh-out-of-the-oven darcs executables for various platforms. Oh, there is one problem, it seems like something about how darcs pipes to external commands has partially broken the post-apply hook which is supposed to notify the buildbot whenever a patch is committed to David's central repository. Therefore, while many patches have been committed recently: http://allmydata.org/trac/darcs-2/timeline? from=2008-05-20&daysback=1&changeset=on Only some of them have been announced to the buildmaster: http://buildbot.darcs.net/waterfall Could someone please look at the post-apply hook which is supposed to be notifying the buildmaster and fix it? Another problem is that e-mail notifications aren't working yet. The buildmaster's log says things like: 2008/05/20 10:34 -0700 [Broker,6,82.153.21.1] sending mail (632 bytes) to ['[EMAIL PROTECTED]'] but mail doesn't arrive at the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list. I'll check and be sure that the buildmaster is really sending mail by redirecting that mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
