Ah, then I'm glad I asked. That's how I read your chart here: http://blog.worldmaker.net/2008/aug/04/users-guide-darcs-2/ It reports that "darcs 2" can push/pull to/from the darcs 1 repo format. I took that one to mean that one repo could be in the darcs 2 repo format, but it sounds like the reality is that darcs 2 can push/pull with the darcs 1 format only when both repos are in the darcs 1 format.
