Eric, David - I like your plan, thanks for making it. Keeping stable and unstable as tightly in sync as you describe seems like it's going to be difficult - if they remain really only a day's worth of patches apart it seems hardly worth the bother of a separate repo. But I think it will work out ok anyway, let's try it!
