Hello Jules,

This is only a very quickly composed answer, so be aware that it may not be
entirely accurate and also incomplete.

I ended up with maybench on a PPC Mac OS X (the tn20 darcs buildbot slave)
essentially by installing the maybench package via Hackage. The package
reference is
http://hackage.haskell.org/cgi-bin/hackage-scripts/package/maybench

On http://www.haskell.org/haskellwiki/Cabal/How_to_install_a_Cabal_package, it
is explained how to install such a package.

But for maybench, this is not such an easy ride: You will probably encounter
missing packages from the dependencies list (such as benchpress), you may
encounter trouble caused by ghc and/or Cabal (the Hackage build mechanism)
version mismatches and similar matters. Missing packages should be installed
in the same way, via Hackage, generally.

I never managed to make the cabal install mechanism recommended in the mail
that asked for the installation of maybench work, but I may, of course, have
been only a few steps away.

Please write again if this is insufficient to make maybench install for you,
hopefully, I'll have better time to compose a better answer.

Best regards
Thorkil
