Great to see check and repair being improved.

+1 for trying to make darcs check something that can be run quickly - 
it's one of the first things I like to do or recommend when there is 
trouble.

I have wondered why darcs check also runs *application* tests in the 
darcs repo. Is this hard-coded ? As a general darcs user I'd want darcs 
check to check the integrity of my repo, and nothing else.
