That's exactly right.  Since Darcs is free software, you can hope that
snippets of Darcs code will be used by other projects where
appropriate.  If you're reasonably careful about making sure
contributors who haven't assigned their code are acknowledged in a
copyright notice, you'll save everybody who's careful a lot of work.
