AFAICT, Darcs 2.1.0 will do "./configure && make" successfully without
quickcheck installed -- or possibly it works with quickcheck 1.

Current unstable seems to fail ./configure if QuickCheck isn't
installed, even though AFAIK it ought to be needed only for the unit
tests.
