It always does. The buildbot simply executes "make test" in a subprocess and the spools all the resulting stdout and stderr back to the web server and posts it on a web page. I don't know exactly which patches you folks are discussing, but if you can't find the report of which tests failed for the patches that you are interested in just by starting at http://buildbot.darcs.net then I would consider that to be a failure of the buildbot UI and would appreciate a bug report.
