Hi darcs-users!

I would like to remind everyone, that the soft freeze is on Monday. I will do
last wholesale pull from http://darcs.net on Monday afternoon. After that,
every patch will be subject to further scrutiny: Only patches that directly
move us toward one of the release goals, or those that fix critical issues will
be pulled into 2.2 branch.

For you, this first and foremost means, that if there are any cleanup patches
that you want to get in, they need to be in the main branch around Monday noon.

On 18th, I'll be tagging pre1. This means that it would be good if you could
grab a copy of branch-2.2 on Monday evening and give it a rough ride: there
will be a 3 day window, till December 18th for fixes to trickle in before
pre1. Myself, I'll run darcs-benchmark on the result, so we at least have
reasonable confidence that the binary works on some of the more important
repositories.

This should be it from your RM for now. Have a nice weekend and don't forget to
submit your patches!

Yours,
   Petr.
