Using the guidelines from http://wiki.darcs.net/DarcsWiki/BugTrackerIssueManagement, I'd say changing the status to "chatting" is always safe in a case like this, unless you have a better idea. Changing the status to "chatting" will, at worst, cause somebody to need to reconsider the situation. At best, of course, the person who originally placed the issue in status "need-info" will catch the new information and carry the matter forwards. > ...
