May I ask you to comment on the below?  The context is that Zooko
got a weird error trying to cabal install darcs, namely:

  cabal.exe: ghc-pkg describe * failed. If you are using ghc-6.9 and
  have an empty user package database then this is probably due to ghc
  bug  #2201. The workaround is to register at least one package in the
  user package db.  cabal.exe: Error: some packages failed to install:

So I asked him to trying cabal install zlib first (to populate the
user package db), but then.... (see below)
