Here is another improvement: Nothing stops you from having more than one
person sign the same patch.

This allows some interesting workflows. For example: a patch can only go
in the stable branch if it's signed by a core developer. You can even go
crazy and say that a patch can only to into the military-secrets branch
if it is signed by two core developers. But I think now I'm getting off
topic.
