One small request and I hope I'm thinking to make this request
systematically: could you separate the cabal patch from the rest of it?
I'm trying to maintain some sort level of patch-exchange ease with
David's repository.  At some point, we may just have to give up, but
if it's still useful we should try.  And maybe one of these days, we'll
come up with something he wants to cherry pick from us.
