I've had persistent but transient problems with darcs send - emails failing to be delivered - and now I have found what may be the solution: it turns out that sendmail doesn't notice changes to /etc/resolv.conf. For the record, the solution is to restart sendmail whenever /etc/resolv.conf is modified.
