Supposing you did "mv a b". There are two ways to make Darcs know about
this:
1. move it back ("mv b a"), then use "darcs mv a b".
2. edit _darcs/patches/pending.
I advise you to avoid the latter, as it is vulnerable to changes in
Darcs' on-disk format.
