I had some questions about what bisect really gives you wrt trackdown,
but the online help that Rado/Matthias kindly wrote clarifies that.

Bisect gives you the first patch it finds that fails, "randomly" from
the user perspective; whereas linear trackdown gives you the first patch
working backwards from HEAD.  If your repository is uniformly "fail"
followed by "pass", the two are equivalent.
