I've just tried to record a patch which failed:
% darcs record -al -m "[Story 3] Upgrade TinyMCE to latest gem version"
darcs failed: Error creating file
./public/javascripts/tiny_mce/themes/simple/skins/o2k7/img/button_bg.png
If I move that file out of the way it fails on a different one.
I did a `darcs check` and the output is below (ends with "Bad index").
I did a `darcs repair` which told me "Bad index discarded" (and checking says
"The repository is consistent!", but got the same error when recording.
I then manually added all 2406 the files and started to record again. This -
after a minute or two :) - worked. Unfortunately, I didn't do a record with
--debug or --verbose so I have no more info about the previous failure.
So...
As a minor point: It'd be nice if darcs check told you to do a darcs repair, as
I didn't at first know to do that.
As another minor point: It'd be nice if darcs told me how to report the record
failure, as I've probably now lost the ability to get the output you need.
As a major point: Anyone got any idea what's going on that darcs couldn't
record with implicit adds, but could after manual adds?
And are the corrupt repo hashes and record problems related, or is that a red
herring?
