That's hashed darcs-1 and not old-fashioned darcs-1, I presume?
No that's legacy. Due to network related bugs darcs 2.x I have to have
fallback to darcs 1.0.9 in my critical repositories. I soon as I have
used 2.x for a month without a problem and I don't see huge performance
penalty, I'll convert.
Both darcs 1.0.9 and 2.3.1 recognized the added files in 'darcs
whatsnew', but 2.4.4 didn't.
It listed them in 'darcs show files' though.
Is there some new incompatible cache format somewhere, or what could
cause such behavior?.
Hmm, that's not good. Is this something you can reproduce at all?
I tried to reproduce that, but no success. The cache is gone for good,
so I don't have a repro anymore. Creating a repo with darcs 1.0.9 and
adding files with 2.4.4 works just fine.
