Small errata/question about the release process
it seems the time for 2.8 is now approaching. You can find all the
details about it at http://wiki.darcs.net
Of course, this should be: http://wiki.darcs.net/Releases/2.8.
What we need to make the release happen:
========================================
darcs put is slow, buggy, and not that useful. We should probably deprecate it,
and disable it in 2.10. Is anyone strongly opposed to that idea?
I find put useful, particularly when I have SSH access to another
machine and want to copy a repo from my local machine over there, but
the local repo has changes or other stuff in its working tree that I
don't want to copy.
FWIW, I hadn't noticed that it was buggy and not that useful :-)
Cheers,
Simon
