Hi darcs users and developers,
in June I pointed out a problem with darcsum report 'R'

It seems no one is reading bug reports there, so I am posting on this
list. This is the issue:
Darcsum hangs on record and no possibility to investigate why

I regularly have a record hanging, and since darcsum does not use an
emacs buffer to communicate to darcs, I have no chance of fixing the
problem. How can I observe the communication and see why darcs is
hanging (probably waiting from some question to be answered that darcsum
is unprepared for)?
Commands like 'g' (update changes) and 'U' (revert) work fine, but the
important 'R' (record) just hangs. darcsum has been really great for
cherry-picking records, so I'd like to use it again.
However, I cannot debug the problem since darcsum does not show the
process communicating between darcsum and darcs. It would be really
nice if that could be fixed and I could use darcsum effectively again.
Personally, I have no clue about emacs-lisp so I need help here.
Sure enough, I am also open to other ways to fix this problem.
