Subject: Dark n Dirty Ride Report - 11 September 2008

Thursday 11 September 2008 – Dark 'n Dirty Intro Ride

OK here it goes. Apologies in advance as this will be a ride report for a
rookie's point of view since this was my first Dark and Dirty (Definitely
not the last though).

I arrived at the Irene Village mall at about 17:55 (Overeager as always)
just to ensure that I do not miss any of the action.

Well just one tip for future joiners – Most of the other riders only arrive
at 18:59:59:99, so don't get worried if you don't see the guys coming.

At 19:00 there were 11 eager mountain bike riders ready for action.

Some of us did not know what to expect (like me) but that did not dampen the
spirits. Then we set off in to the night with a few strapped on lights and
the adrenaline taps turned on.

>From my perspective the ride was great and funny enough it seem to be that I
was the only one coming off the bike (3 times during the ride), but that is
what made it so much fun.

Highlights of the ride:

· Big Dipper – Awesome

· Lotsa cool single track with names I can't remember – but ensured a
kickass ride.

· Broken chain (Mine of course fixed in record time (Not by me of
course)

In closing GREAT FUN and I am definitely there for the next one and I would
recommend for anybody with a sense of adventure.

Thanks for the ride HARDY!

*Thanks*

Kind regards,
