We started off with Cruiser, down Vetseun, up big Dipper, over to Cornwill and down R.U.S.H, over to and through Gauntlet up to Rietvlei. Up and over to the back of the little koppie (name?) and up again toward Mineshaft. Next was Blairwitch, Router's route and up Heartbreakhill, around toward Smutshouse downhill and up another little koppie (no name yet) and on to LookMaNoBrakes. The left turn had to be right, as the cement factory was on the wrong side for where we needed to go to trail through Python. Quick correction and we did just that, trail though Python and cruised TourdeTar. Then we deviated (due to beers calling) from the intentional Black Beauty railway line ride, toward VO2Max and back through PvR. And we went up Vetseun, onto BigDipper and down Cruiser AGAIN toward the Cow (aka Moo Mall aka Irene Mall), instead. I nerviously babbled the route plan before the ride to the 9 other riders and was met with mostly blank stares... probably the same blank stare most of you are reading this with now. The night skies looked ominous and emergency escapes route back to the cow were requested, just incase the clouds opened up on us with it's brewing fury. Rock and Roll route is as the name implies Rocky and you only Roll after you've climbed ANOTHER hill. Speed zones were plentiful and the group fast and furious. We were treated with special guest appearances of DnD oldies - Flash and Deamon, who with some roady tactics claimed most of the titles to fame on the speed zones! They also had to be searched and rescued by The Mummy and D1, due to their ferocious speed and missing a turn (thanx Mummy and D). It was fantastic to have you ride with us again. Hope to see you ride with us again soon. Flash was also sweeper when he remembered that the current track was not a speedzone. D1 and Marc covered for him the rest of the ride. Thanx guys. Oupa Gert resumed my usual duty of moaning at the ride leader for going too fast on none speed zones. Thanx Oupa Gert ;) Spinner kept me company up front despite me occasionally and very accidently of cause, cutting him off and my endless teasing about him CAUSING a Intro Ride lady, to fall and break her elbow. Just to further confirm Spinner's ruthless nature, I more than once, saw him take second or third place, deliberately not smashing the rest of our egos by letting us win the speed zones... in a very convincing manner. Spinner did Hardy teach you this trick? The heavens calmed and didn't open up on us with fury, instead we had a very funky, pleasant ride. Around 32km. Different speed averages. One flat wheel. A few light failures No falls that I'm aware off? One or two close calls, Spinner nearly taking Oupa Gert out this time... D1, Deamon, Flash, Goldy Locks, Marc, Micheal, Mummy, Oupa Gert and Spinner - it was a preveladge to get dark and d!rty with you! C ya on the next one! :) q.t. ps: Eric, you missed it!
