I was looking for a spare tyre recently and usually I buy the Specialised
Captain Control, which is an excellent multi-purpose round tyre... but I
ended up settling on a Maxxis Crossmark (a ok-ish hard-pack tyre with not so
great holding on corners, but very low rolling resistance).

What however really got me wondering is why does Fritz Pienaar cycles charge
R580.00 for the Crossmark (the Captain Control was similarly priced),
however the same Crossmark at Cycle Lab costs R275.00 (the Captain was
R321.00, but the did not have 26)?

So I did some comparisons on other items and though some items cost the same
in other shops, a large portion of the goodies to be bought at Fritz are on
average more expensive (and sometimes by a large margin).

Oh and I'm going to have withdraw anything I might have ever said bad about
Cycle Lab, the guys are friendly and there stuff is competitively priced.

There is an island of opportunity in the middle of every difficulty. Miss
that, though, and you're pretty much doomed.
