probably becaue it was such an outrage on the hub - i know of at least one journalist that posts there
maybe with enough media outcry the police might be forced to do something? talked to an x-colonel yesterday about the incidents, he said (it's his personal opinion) that the pretoria-police never had to deal with these types of crimes - way back when, so they don't know how - where-as the joburg police always had some hotspots, so they kind of can deal with it better ... any ideas about how i can help? - regular big-group-rides through the danger-spots, greeting everyone you meet - would that help? (i'll gladly come through for one or two of them, always looking for an excuse) - maybe find out when the railway-police are patrolling, and only cycle those times? - would it help to arrange a meeting with the lyttleton police? what do we want them to do? patrol the area? and let us know when they patrol (for a start) so that we know when it's 'safe' to go ride there? 2009/1/23 Donald Klopper <[email protected]>: > > Last night at 17h00 on HighVeld Eyewitness news they had quite a bit > about the incidents, also mentioning Mathilda. > They also mentioned the bottle and axe incident... > I was surprised that it reached such a mainstream radio-station's top > stories bulletin. > Maybe that's because it is a freaking shocking shame...! > > I don't trust the police that they'll do anything. They're impotent. > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "DarkAndDirty" group.
